Siblings and Feelings

Siblings tell us that they feel lots of different things about having a brother or sister with a disability, illness or health condition. They can feel upset that their life is different to other people’s or sad that they can’t do things like other families. They can enjoy spending time with a brother or sister but they can also feel annoyed that they have to miss out on things sometimes.

All these feelings are normal – it’s OK to feel lots of different things and it doesn’t mean that you don’t love your brother or sister. There are things you can do to help you with your feelings

Get in touch and tell us about your life as a sibling and what it means to you.
